Mulch provides many benefits for your landscape-it provides insulation for your plant roots during the winter and summer months, breaks down and creates natural decaying matter to sustain plant growth, and is aesthetically pleasing. In addition, mulch helps to prevent sunlight from reaching the undergrowth of your greenscapes, preventing weed emergence in your flower beds and gardens.
We can provide any style of mulch, as there are many different types, styles, and colors. Not all mulches are created equal-some biodegrade rather quickly, while others biodegrade more slowly. We offer hardwood mulches, pine mulches, and mulches made from ground-up pallets, sometimes called "skids,” which reuse waste products to benefit our environment and remain aesthetically pleasing. If you are unsure about the type of mulch you currently have, or if you wish to change mulch types, please feel free to contact us for a free quote as well as mulch availability and pricing.
We recommend adding mulch in the spring and fall. We want to provide fresh mulch for aesthetic reasons in the spring, and due to the warm weather, the mulch will break down and provide fresh nutrients for our plants. More importantly, many varieties of trees, shrubs and plants need mulch to keep their roots cool to avoid heat stress. The most overlooked mulch application is the fall application. We need to provide a natural insulation for those plant roots. At the current price of perennial plants, preparing them for the fall and winter is very cost-effective.
Please feel free to contact us for a free quote on applying mulch to your flower beds, around your trees, or anywhere in your landscape. We not only apply mulch, but also provide edging services.
